Some biographical information found on the Web about David Mattison:

I am the David Mattison whose life on the Internet started in 1991 when a librarian friend first introduced me to this relatively new, at least in our part of the world, academic research computer network powered by BCNET. A year later and I was deeply involved with founding and helping create and manage content for the Victoria Free-Net Association's free Internet service, the Victoria Free-Net, today known as the Victoria Telecommunity Network. Up until that point I'd been working with personal computers (Apple II, Kaypro, and IBM PC clones) and bulletin board systems since 1982. So here we are and over two decades later I have my own domain and a fantastic content management system called Tiki Wiki to share a little of what I know about the Internet/Web and my interests in digital culture and history. After my former Web hosting provider got hacked on October 7 and all my davidmattison.ca Web sites were deleted and could not be recovered, I switched my Ten Thousand Year Blog to WordPress.com under my domain name davidmattison.ca and created this wiki under PBWiki.
